Palmes of the French education network abroad

The Palmes of the French education network abroad – a project led by Samantha Cazebonne, Senator representing French citizens living outside France and a member of the AFLEC Board of Directors – will be an annual event organised by the Reflexes1 platform and its partners. The first edition of the event will take place on 13 March 2025 at the Sorbonne in Paris.

These Palmes recognise initiatives carried out in accredited French schools abroad around 7 themes: Inclusion, Combating discrimination, Innovative initiative, Cultural initiative, Language promotion (an outstanding initiative in the field of languages and/or openness to the host country), Guidance and careers, or Commitment to a cause of public interest.

Within each school, teachers, staff, a group of pupils, and parents’ or alumni associations may register and take part.

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Palmes of the French education network abroad (EFE), an event held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, with which AFLEC is proud to be associated in order to bring the notion of a network to life and to share the good practice of our schools, thereby showcasing it.

1 Reflexes is a collaborative platform dedicated to French education abroad, launched at the end of 2021. Its purpose is to foster dialogue between all stakeholders: parents, pupils, staff, operators and institutions, whether in the accredited network or in French education delivered through cooperation
