Job description
The Lycée Français International Elite de Tyr has (in normal times) around 450 pupils, from the first year of nursery school to the penultimate year of secondary school (première), mainly Lebanese or French-Lebanese, although 21 nationalities are represented.
Under the supervision of, and in consultation with, the Head of School of the Lycée Français International Elite de Beyrouth, the Head acts as head of the school.
They are responsible for the educational leadership of the school, in particular the primary school.
They are also responsible for all staff, some of whom are permanent civil servants of the French Ministry of National Education.
However, the budget, and more particularly everything relating to investment, is the responsibility of the management committee, represented by the Director General of the Elite group, Vice-President of AFLEC.
The Head implements the AFLEC Educational Project and ensures that it is applied
They ensure that the school’s attractiveness is developed.
They will need to show diplomacy and a high level of availability.
Accommodation may be provided with the post.
Candidate profile
Primary school teacher (Professeur des Écoles), currently in post or not
Preferably holder of the CAFIPEMF
Experience of school leadership abroad is desirable
Strong organisational and management skills.
Adaptability
Good listening and communication skills
Proficiency in the use of digital technology.
